Happy Thursday

So my Kidrobot order came last night & I now have a new addition to my desk...could 2D be any cooler?!

I also picked up these little Ice-Bots

I ran to Archiver's this morning hoping to find that some new stuff had come in, but alas no new goodies...I picked up a few pieces of paper (because I can't leave there empty handed!) and the flowers I used on this LO

That's the picture of Mugsy I posted the other day catching his treat in mid-air :)

I then found this little gnome at Joanns and had to have him, he's going on my sewing basket.

De-lish paper

As I was leaving for work today, I saw the Fed-ex man drop an oddly shaped box off at our door. Of course curiosity got the best of me and I had to see what came in the mail! It was my order from Paper Source. This is wrapping paper, but I am so going to scrap with it...how fab is that robot paper?! I also got this sweet little stamp.

Such a beautiful day

Finally, some nice weather for more than 1 day! I was lucky enough to have the weekend off and it has just been beautiful, today is in the mid 70s and sunny, sunny, sunny! I took my sewing basket outside this morning and made these felt puggy pins..

Oooh I have to share that I was at Wal Mart the other day, they have the best price on my beloved Duck tape runners, and as I was leaving the office supply aisle, noticed these "notebook tattoos" and immediately thought...hmmmm, I could scrap with those! They were only like $1.99 :) You never know where you will find something good.

I *love* this idea

While checking out 2 Peas the other day I ran accross this thread and knew I had to give this idea a try since my collection of scrapping bits & bobs is getting out of control! There is an antique store we go to every so often and I always noticed big stacks of those trays for sale there. Well, this morning we drove over and I picked one up...it holds a ton of stuff! Best part is I can just pull out the tray and work from it instead of a gazillion bottles, bags, baskets...well you get the picture, it is so much easier...thanks for the great idea Jen...these are pics of my finished tray, pretty spiffy eh?!

Random Friday Stuff

Alrighty, we will start with my cute little felt duckies we made at our Chicagoland Craft Collective meeting last night, they were super easy to make & it has motivated me to pull out my Japanese mascot books to try making some more this weekend. I get to teach the craft at our meeting next month, we are going to be doing 8 x 8 scrapbook pages, it will be fun putting kits together with all kinds of fun non-traditional scrapping stuff!

Here are a couple of LOs I have finished this week

And a fun picture of Mugsy that is begging to be scrapped :)

Hope everyone has a great weekend, we are going antiquing tomorrow and then maybe out for dinner.

Why my Dad is the coolest...

Because he sent Mugsy this outfit that totally fits his regal attitude. I put it on him to take pictures and figured he would be itching to get it off but no, he was prancing around the house like he owned the place...funny little guy :)

I also have to share this yum-o soup recipe that he sent me the other day. It is soooooooo good! He said it is even better the second day, but I wouldn't know since we were piggies and ate it all!

2 posts in 1 day...

I feel like I have some catching up to do posting wise so I am posting for the second time today. I feel like I got a ton done today...first of all, I sort of cleaned my scrap-room, I can see the floor and there is at least one flat surface that is clean so I consider that a huge accomplishment! I took advantage of the cleanliness and did a LO, that Bam Pop had been lurking in a pile of stuff on a shelf so I decided I had to use it today, love the little robot!

Then I got around to using my elephant fabric from Superbuzzy to make a tote...my 2 fave colors, black and orange!

Of course some good stuff came in the mail...my friend Megan pointed me in the direction of Kid Pirate the other day, such fun stuff there. I got the Killer Hamster tote and this fun robot t-shirt, they also enclosed some cute little green monster buttons...I *love* monsters!

Lastly, I stopped into Hobby Lobby to get some thread and found these felt flowers (with bling!) in the Easter aisle, they were only like $1.20 a bag and there are a bunch of them, figured they would be perfect for scrapping.

A day off!!

I don't why this week has seemed so busy, but I don't feel like I have had time to work on anything, so many ideas, so little time, so today I want to do a couple of layouts and maybe create a new monster stuffie, we will see how the day unfolds. Until I have a new creation to post, here are some pics of things in my craft room that make me happy :)

Greens & Blues

Do you suddenly find your self drawn to a color combination, and all of a sudden it starts showing up in everything you are working on...for me it's been greens and blues this week.

I loved the greens and blues in this new Basic Grey Pheobe paper

Then I fell in *love* with this fabric

Mugsy and Opie wanted me to let everyone know how much they love the treats they got in the mail yesterday from My Dog Ate It Catering . They got all kinds of yummy goodies like Pumpkin Bones and Salmon Snackers...Opie esp. likes the Liver Love Bites, he says they are the perfect size for old guys who are missing a couple of teeth!

Why my Mom is the coolest...

So what is better than getting cool mail at home, how about getting cool mail at work! Today I got a box from my super cool Mom filled with all kinds of good stuff that she picked up for me :)

O.k., so as if this little vintage shoe box wasn't cute enough on it's own, I open it and it's filled with fab-o buttons and trim!

These are begging to be used on a layout.

A fun bag I can fill with stuff...oh how I *love* stuff!

Oooooh, and a gift card to my fave store! There were also some funky aprons and a bunch of sewing stuff...totally made my day!

Kim, these are for you

Kim has left several comments that Mugsy's older brother Opie just isn't getting enough attention, Opie is our first pug who is almost 15 years old. He is blind and has been diabetic for about 4 years now. he likes to spend his days sleeping, napping and snoozing...he is such a sweetie-pie! Kim, these are for you :)

This is my fave. Opie pic from a few years ago...we call it his "Grinch face".

Time to lighten up...

Just trying out a new banner and background color...figured with spring around the corner, I needed a brighter cheerier look for a while :)

Busy week

Ack, such a busy week at work and I sooooo wish I had time to scrap or sew. Makes it even harder when you get something in the mail that you immediately want to make something out of...yesterday I got more fabric from Superbuzzy the one on the left is a panel of 28 of those blocks with the different days of the week & different little bunnies, bears, lambs etc., I think they are going to be swell on tote bags. I just loved the elephant fabric, don't know what I am going to use it for, just know I needed it. I just checked their site out this morning and there is some cute new fabric with little birdies on it that I just might need!

Stuff i've been up to this week

I love that spring is right around the corner...you would never know it from the snow that is piled up outside my window and the gentle hum of Bob using the snowblower so I can get my car out of the garage to go to the post office. The sun is shining though, and I have been inspired to start using some brighter springy colors this week...

This is the Easter version of my Oh Grrrs! puggy, I think he would be super cute in an Easter basket.

I saw this fabric and knew I had to get some to make totes out of...doesn't it remind you of Fruit Stripe gum:)

A baby album I made for a friend's shower this weekend, totally out of my element style wise, but fun to do, I finally got to use the Basic Grey pp I bought just for that fab-o elephant pattern!

And finally I splurged this week and ordered myself something I have been wanting for the longest time...a button making machine! It came in the mail yesterday and I immediately ripped the box open and within minutes I was making buttons...the possibilities are endless...it is worth every penny so far! How cool are these little Bam Pop birdies as buttons...I just used the card the stamps came on, had to make something VW too...fun, fun, fun!
