Getting organized

I am the kind of scrapper that if I can't see what supplies I have to work with I either forget that I have them or more than likely, I pull them all out so I can see what I have and leave them strewn about my scrapping space. Yesterday I finally got to the point where I couldn't function anymore and with Bob's help created a system to keep all of the stuff that would accumulate on my scrapping table organized. Sure I have lots of storage in my room, but putting stuff back is next to impossible for me. Now all of my gazillion alphabets and such are hanging right above my scrapping table, all organized and I don't even have to take them down, I can just reach up and grab what I need...sounds simple enough, but boy what a huge difference this makes!

*Edit* to include a supply list...
1 24-48" expandable curtain rod with brackets in finish of your choice
30 (or however many you need) curtain rod rings with clips
I purchased the above items at Linens & Things, but I am sure Target and other stores would have them as well
2 x 3" wood blocks
2 x 3 1/2" wood blocks

Make a "T" out of the wood blocks by screwing larger block onto smaller one from the back side
drill 2 holes in larger block, 1 on either side of the longer piece that was just attatched
Attatch brackets to block...this is the stuff Bob did so I am probably not explaining it very well so here is a pic. the ceiling over my desk is at an angle, but this will also work if you want to mount it to the wall.

Mount wood blocks at desired height to wall, put on rod with clips and get organized!!

Just leave me a comment and let me know what your fave new product was from CHA & Mugsy and I will pick a winner on Friday evening. Domestic only please, there is a lot of paper here and international shipping would break the bank & cut into our dog biscuit budget!

Holy Fiskars!

That was the exclamation that began day 1 of my CHA adventure. My friend
Sarah and I started off at the crack of dawn to bring back reports and reviews of all of the fab new goodies for her Craft Critque blog which will have CHA reports all week long. We are definitely going back tomorrow as it was waaaaay too much to take in in one day, we even forgot to eat all day we were so excited! I will be writing an article for Craft Critique this weekend, but in the mean time here are a few quick pics of some of my favorites

Drool, drool!
