One good RAK deserves another...

One of the things I love most about the scrapping community is how many cool & generous people you get to meet. I was the winner of Andrea's, aka scrapcrazed over at 2Peas, RAK the other day when she held a "felt and buttons challenge" as one of her POTD challenges...I was overwhelmed when I got her package yesterday and it was just bursting with not only every color of felt, but tons of buttons and other cute felt embellies!! I love fun mystery packages in the mail...thank you, thank you, thank you!

So now it comes time to pay it forward so I am going to send out a RAK of some of my favorite things (the pic. is just a sneak peak, other surprises await!) all packed up in this sweet little tattoo inspired tote....all you have to do is tell what one of your favorite things is...it can be a person, a movie a song...whatever, Mugsy and I will pick a random winner on Thursday morning...some of mine are pugs, anything with skulls, the color orange, robots, VWs, Harry Potter, scrapping and the movie Napoleon Dynamite...soooooooo what are yours :)

How cool...

are these fabric tags I ordered from Name Maker. They are going to get sewn into the seams of my felt puggies.

It looks like some yucky weather is heading our way tonight, i.e. rain, ice and then snow, so tomorrow will be a good day to be snuggled up inside with the puggies watching a movie and sewing and scrapping. My new Basic Grey came in the mail this week, so I am hoping to have some time to play with it on a LO.

Random Goodness

Yeah! The temperature here if finally above freezing for 2 days in a row and the snow is melting. Just knowing that spring is around the corner makes a girl happy! In honor of that, here are some other happy things :)

Super duper ultra fabulous robots(!) that my Dad gave to me while I was home. Seriously, are these not the coolest ever?!

My parent's snuggly kitty-cat

Mugsy in a beanie! And you know I had to scrap that!

And of course...more fabric with skulls :)
Hope it's warm and sunny where you are today!

Junkin'

Today I started my morning with a couple of scrapping and pug friends (hello Amber!) at the Loveless Cafe...nothing like grits and homefries to start your morning off right.

I've picked up a bunch of fun stuff at estate sales and such while I have been here, good thing I drove so I can get it all back home!

Vintage sewing basket filled to the brim with fun stuff like buttons, spools of old thread and these booklets of needles.

Some old craft books

Fun fabrics!

I've also picked up some cute stuff for the puggies and some scrapping stuff so I will have all kinds of goodies to play with when I get home :)

Vacation!

Woo-hoo...my vacation started today and tomorrow I am off to Tennessee to visit the family! I plan on relaxing and shopping and maybe doing a little sewing.

As I was running errands this morning, I of course found a couple of things I had to get for Mugsy. How cute is this hoodie from Target?! They had a whole new collection of the coolest rock & roll inspired doggie stuff. He also got another new t from Old Navy. Alright, I am off to do laundry, pack, and maybe a little house cleaning.

Ice, ice baby...

Brrrrrrr....don't know what it's like where you live, but it is down right miserable here! The snow, the wind, the ginormous icicle hanging off our front porch! Honestly, I think it was at least 4 feet long. I broke it off so the puggies could go out safely and the mailman could make it to our mailbox so he could keep bringing me more goodies like these...

My
Zing Boom kit is here!! I have never bought a scrapping kit before but I couldn't pass this one up, so much super cool stuff and of course there is that robot stamp, i'm going to get a lot of use out of that.

Also got more goodies from
Superbuzzy , a Japanese craft book full of felt goodness and some more fabric.

Valenpugs..

Just a few pics from today's Valenpug meetup for Northern Illinois Pug rescue & Adoption. This is the rescue we were lucky enough to get Mugsy through 2 years ago (come February 13th, boy time flies!). There was a great turnout and it was held indoors so all of the puggies, and people, were nice and warm. Mugsy is so funny, he's Mr. Outgoing at home, but gets very shy around other people and dogs...he is now completely exhausted and is snoring loudly under my desk chair.

Just one more for today...

Just finished these up this morning to take with me for Northern Illinois Pug Rescue's Valenpug party tomorrow. They have a silent auction so I am hoping these will make some $$ for the puggies!

Pug love...

Lots of love in the mail today as I just got back from the post office...all of these puggies got shipped out to sweeties and Valentines today!

I *love* good mail days

Is there anything more exciting to coming home to boxes waiting on the porch? Yesterday I got my order from 2Peas with my much longed for Bam Pop! paper pack, is this not the coolest stuff ever?! I also got some more of Marah Johnson's fabulous Love Struck chipboard and some cool AC arrows. There was also a box waiting for me from Joann's with these cool arrow stamps and some much needed new scissors!

Lastly, I received my latest eBay purchse, anyone who knows me knows I loooove my car, an '04 VW R32, I finally found a diecast model, and in the same color as my car (black of course!) so I had to have it.

I can't wait...

to use this fabulous fabric I got in the mail yesterday from superbuzzy on a project. I have been drooling over all of the fun stuff there for a while so I finally broke down and placed an order. I also got this cute little birdie patch, I think she is going to go on my sewing basket.

Today I am going to work on some Valentines projects, can't wait to use these stamps on a layout or perhaps on envelopes for cards I am sending out. Speaking of cards, I had to get these Office cards when I was at Target the other day...I *love* the Dwight one! I finished a Valentines inspired layout of Mugsy last night, used everything I love on this one: buttons, felt, robots, birds and flowers!

Neat Stuff

Ever on the lookout for more fun trinkets I can bring home, these are some goodies I have picked up in the last couple of days...

How cool is this tattoo inspired doggy bandana from Old Navy, you just know I had to get one for Mugsy! They had a matching shirt, but they were sold out of his size.

Trolls! How fun is a bag of miniature trolls...I think they are going to make their way into my Valentines that I am sending out.
Uber cool Blondie tote bag from Target
In between all of the shopping and sewing, I found time to do a new layout.
