Finally... a scrapping day
So I started selling my plush felt puggies and tote bags to make a little extra money to spend on scrapping supplies. Much to my surprise, the orders just keep coming which has been so much fun. Today, though, was designated as a scrapping only day and the sewing machine was put away. I posted this picture the other day of Mugsy in his Target pirate shirt and have been itching to scrap it, plus I couldn't wait to use my new Marah Johnson Love Struck rub-ons and paper I got in the mail a couple of days ago...how perfect are they with this picture.
I've been watching a lot of DVDs while working on projects lately, my favorite as of late is The Young Ones collection, does anyone else remember them? MTV re-ran their show constantly in the late 80's (I just dated myself there)...funny, funny stuff!

Alas, I am not as crafty...
as I thought I was! This week at our Chicagoland Craft Collective meeting, our incredibly talented instructor Melanie Silver was put in charge of teaching us how to make super cool beads out of individual beads that we would strand. I went in with an open mind, but as soon as the instructions were passed out and I saw the maze of diagrams and numbers I had flashbacks to high school geometry and that was it, I was out! The photo that you see with this posting is as far as I got, you can check out what the completed project was supposed to look like by checking out Sarah Moore's Blog She received some of these little gems during our Christmas exchange. We both agreed that the $3 fee for the project was fair price for the lesson learned that we need to stick with our favorite medium for a while...paper! Make sure you check out Sarah's cards on her blog...she is ever so creative!

My shipping clerk...
is lying down on the job. I am packing up orders this morning to ship and Mugsy has decided that a nice place to nap would be right in the middle of my packing supplies. How cute is he though...how can I disturb him?
I can't wait for this afternoon, I am going to Ikea to see if there is anything new or fun that I need. I need to check out their groovy fabrics and I am in need of some more storage stuff. This evening I am going to the Chicagoland Craft Collective meetup, I think we are making a cool beaded creation, I have never done any beading so we will see how that turns out!

What time is it?
Why it's Johnny Depp time thanks to my newest Target purchase this morning! I am usually in there 1-2 times a week, but I haven't been in a while so needless to say I left with a ton of stuff. Johnny Depp & a skull how cool is that, it is now residing on my scrapping table.
I also picked up these sheets of Pirate tattoos in the $1 Spot, I just know I can use them on a layout somehow.
This little girlie is on my desk
And of course I had to get Mugsy something!
I have to share a picture of the purse I made last night, it is in no way perfect, but i'm pretty proud of it for it being my first try!

Busy, Busy, Busy...
I have been soooooo productive today! I started off today finishing this fun puggy bag. Once again I made this for someone else but want to keep it myself.
Then I decided I had to do some scrapping and did this layout of our kitty (I bet you thought we only had pugs!) Ivo drinking from his favorite spot...the kitchen sink. I took this picture a few weeks ago and have been itching to scrap it ever since.
Finally I sewed up a bunch of puggies for orders I have gotten the past few days. Tonight I will put in a movie (preferably something with Johnny Depp!) and stuff and sew puggies. Did I mention I also made a yummy pot roast in my crock pot today too...so productive!

I Love Cool Stuff In The Mail...
I recently participated in a swap over at Craftster.org with a super cool chick and fellow pug lover jezebel7383 aka Laura. I sent her one of my plush puggies and she sent me a box of coolness! Yummy hot chocolate with a big mug to enjoy it in and brownie bites.
The best part is the stuff she made herself...how pretty are these?! They are going in a special place in my crafting room so they can inspire me. *Love* those fun bright colors.
