Just a few quick pics from our trip to the Shedd Aquarium this week...
Because no trip to the aquarium is complete until you've had your picture taken with the giant inflatable Kimodo dragon...
A quick video of Mugsy's Saturday morning ritual, begging for the last bite of doughnut :)

Summer in the city
So today was sooooooo much fun. I took the train into the city to meet up with a couple of my PugVillage friends Allie & Amber...first thing on our agenda was shopping at Windy City Scrapbooking I have been hearing for ages what a great store this was so I was very excited to finally get to go. This store was hands down the best scrapping store I have ever been to! Every inch of the store was stocked with fun, fabulous stuff and the staff could not have been any nicer. If you are ever in Chicago it is definitely worth the trip.
Here are the goodies I picked up today...yes that pp has mushrooms on it, how could I live without that?!
Elsie chipboard albums that I have been looking everywhere for
Pirate stamps...Aaarrrrrr!
Amber, me and Allie...i'm not trying to look all cool & stuff, I just forgot I had my sunglasses on :) Gads, i've been using a little self-tanner for 2 weeks now and I still look like a ghost!
As if that wasn't enough fun, they brought be birthday presents too :) How incredibly cool is this box that Amber altered...Wowza!
Ooooooh...lookie at what's inside!
Allie totally gets me...Jenni Bowlin felt birdies and a skeleton...joy!
We also went to the Shedd aquarium, but I will have to save those pics for another post. Hope you ladies had a safe trip home this afternoon...it was fun!

Happy Monday
Hope everyone had a great weekend, ours was quiet as we both worked all weekend. In between the job-that-pays-the-bills, I found time to finish up a puggy tote that had been ordered that is off to it's new home this morning plus I was able to pack up a couple of Etsy orders that are going out.
I can't wait until Wednesday as I am meeting a couple of friends from over at PugVillage, Amber & Allie who are both avid scrappers as well. I *think* we are going to go shopping at Windy City Scrapbooking, i've heard fabulous things about this store and have been itching to go for a while so this should be fun! On Friday we are going into the city to see the Psychedlic Furs at the House of Blues...boy the last time I saw them was in 1986 (ugh that dates me) should be a fun show.
Hope everyone has a great week, here is a picture of my talented girl Pixie proving she can touch her eye with her tongue :)
And sweet Mugsy being all sweet despite sticking his tongue out at me :)

Finally...a new LO
Whew, I feel like it's been ages since I posted a new layout...I was so reluctant to use the new Love Elsie stuff since I was afraid everything I did would turn out looking just like Elsie's (which is not a bad thing!), but after playing around with the zingboom kit I realized I could make it my own and headed out to Archiver's to buy some more of the line.

Not that we're counting...
but it's only 30 days until the realease of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows! Of course we have had 2 copies (so we can read it at the same time) pre-ordered forever. Bob and I went out shopping this morning for clothes for work, but all I came home with was this Lord Voldemort lunch box :) I'm sure at 38 I am way too old to be carrying a lunch box, but it looks cool on my scrapping table.

Just a quick one...
Another busy week here, and I am shocked that I haven't updated until now! I am happy to report that all of my zingboom LOs are done :) Such a fun kit to work with, I can't wait until the gallery is up...until then, here is a sneaky peaky
Here is a happy picture for today...Pixie totally enjoying some peanut butter :)

A happier post
I want to thank everyone so much for taking the time to think about Opie & our family, it means so much. Our friend Michael over at Pug Village sent us this fabulous tile with artwork he did of Opie, isn't it cool?
A canvas I made for Opie
Don't you just love that ric-rac around the edge...it came in a box of goodies from my parents earlier this week
I also got a package with some new superbuzzy goodness in it...she has a bunch of the fairy tale fabrics back in stock so you should head over there now! I am so in love with the owl fabric...I think it will turn into a tote tomorrow!
I hope everyone has a great weekend, I have to work this afternoon, but I have tomorrow off and many projects to complete.

Remebering Opie
I have always tried to keep my blog a lighthearted, fun place to visit, but I must take time out today to remember our precious pug Opie who passed on Monday. We got Opie almost 15 years ago when he was only 8 weeks old. Opie battled diabetes for the last 4 1/2 years and on Sunday night he started to decline, upon taking him to the vet it was discovered that he had several problems that would require immediate surgery, and I just knew in my heart, and he told me with his eyes, that this was one last battle he was not prepared to fight so we let him pass with dignity and strength. These are some of my favorite Opie pics...
Such a happy boy
Only about a year old here
This is his "Grinch Face"

That was fun!
So today some friends and I decided to have a scrapping day. We all work for the same company (Pier 1) but at different locations and decided we needed a girls day out to be crafty!
Fuel to keep us scrapping...Red Vines & Swedish Fish...yummy!
And Mt. Dew of course :)
Mary's first time using an adhesive runner and she's a pro already
A LO I did today of Mary's Grandmother...yes she's pulling a plastic duck in the picture (bad lighting = discolored pic)
Tiffany hard at work on her creation
Krystal being camera shy
Another Lo I started
And a little something I whipped up yesterday...I don't know what took me so long to try doing a LO on canvas, but I will definitely be doing more!

Birdie Totes
Birdie totes are now available in my Etsy shop. I only listed a couple, so if those sell out, be on the lookout for more :)
