Mugsy got Mail

Captain Mugsy received a package in the mail yesterday...his new pirate costume :)

I don't have to go into work until later this afternoon, so I am going to play with the October My Favorite Memories kit a little this morning...just look at allof the cool stuff in this kit, it's right up my alley!

Catching up...

Since I have been down for the count the past couple of days, I have some catching up to do as far as things to share...the first one is ever so exciting! If you live in the Chicagoland area, mark your calendars for Sunday, November 4th as that is when Crafted is being held at Durty Nellies in Palatine

We have a winner...or 2

Alrighty, feeling a little better this morning, so we put the random number genertor to work and it picked Bekka...so email us your addy and your buttons will be on their way. As I mentioned Pixie was not above a little bribery and talked me into picking a second winner so Chinamomxtwo will be getting a little something too as soon as I get her addy :)

RAK Update

I have come down with some kind of horrible flu type ailment that has me knocked out flat and left me unable to function so I will be picking a RAK winner in the a.m. when I (hopefully) feel better...o.k., I am going back to bed now...blah!

It's been a while...

since I have had a RAK so here we go :) All you have to do is leave me a comment telling me your favorite thing about fall and on Wednesday evening we will pick a random winner for this set of 1" buttons made using some of our favorite scrapping paper.

Yesterday we were very happy with the mailman as he brought us a couple of great packages. The first one was something I bought for Pixie off of eBay a few days ago. Prepare yourself for the cutest "pug in a dress" picture ever....are you ready? O.k. here you go...

We were also lucky enough to find another package on our porch yesterday, this one was from our friend Stephanie J. and it had all kinds of good stuff in it...treats for the puggers and treats for me...thank you Stephanie!!

I love the $1 Spot...

at Target! I have been hearing for a couple of weeks now that they had scrapping stuff in their $1 section, but of course our Target always lags behind. Well today while I was out I ran in real quick and they finally had some stuff out....score! I *love* the felt accents(leaves, acorns,apples, flowers), very American Crafts but only a buck!! I know I can do something cool with those silk leaves too :)
























I finished up a canvas this morning for a swap
























and did a quick LO














Now I have a little time before out Meetup group gets together tonight so I guess I should do a little cleaning...blah!

This weekend was great! The weather was just perfect for Pugjam on Saturday so the turn-out was quite good. Mugsy and Pixie didn't understand why they had to hang out with so many dogs (as they truly believe they are little people...well they are aren't they?) Pugjam was lots of fun today, the weather was just perfect. I took lots and lots of pics and will post them up tomorrow night :) Mugsy and Pixie are simply exhausted and are snoozing away right now.

TGIF

First things first, I got the most exciting email yesterday from Shari at My Favorite Memories asking me to be a part of their Design Team...such a talented group over there and I have had such fun being a Guest Designer the last 2 months I am so happy I get to stay :)

There is so much fun Halloween scrapping stuff out there right now, I have been buying it up and couldn't wait to use it so I did this LO yesterday of Mugsy in his devil horns, I love orange and black so this is one of my favorites.

























This weekend is going to be great! The weather is supposed to be beautiful which is fab since we are going to Pugjam tomorrow, I even made myself a Mugsy shirt to wear :) Be ready for a gazillion and one pug pics that I will post up soon!
























Sunday i'm going to The Renegade Craft Fair with my friend Megan...i've never been before so I can't wait!!

I just finished up my LOs with the September Label Tulip kit and just wanted to share a couple of quick peeks

Fresh Faces

Mugsy & Pixie had an appointment at the doggie salon this morning, is there anything better than a clean, sweet smelling pug :)



















I just updated my Etsy shop with some fleece doggie blankets....how cute is this fabric?!
























I also added a kit perfect for Halloween scrapping :)



















The weather here is just beautiful so I am off to find something to work on outside!

Monday random-ness

O.k., so first off, here are a couple of more projects with the September
My Favorite Memories kit. The first one is done on an 8.5 x 11 transparency, one of their challenges is to scrap something you love about your home, this is our house number with a pug of course!
























This one is made on a 6 x 12 canvas board so it could be hung on the wall if one desired. Those fab leaves are from Martha Stewart's fall collection at Michaels.
























I found a little more time to do some sewing and made some totes for a couple of silent auctions for pug rescue, one is going to Northern Illinois Pug Rescue & Adoption & the other is going to Southern Nevada Pug Rescue
























Over the weekend I found the best surprise in my mailbox! I was lucky enough to score some of the fun owls that Mahlin was giving away on her blog...aren't they cool?!




















Ooooh, one last thing, if you are a fan of skulls like I am, check out these fun buttons that I picked up at JoAnns this weekend :) You know you need some!






















O.k., I lied, this is the last thing for today....Mugsy being very uncoorperative while trying on his Zero costume that Megan and Jim got him...I think the first picture about sums things up, he usually loves to model just about anything, but he was none too happy about this!

For the puggies...

I decided to do some sewing today and took a break from scrapping. Northern Illinois Pug Rescue and Adoption is having their Pug Jam next weekend so I am making some items for the silent auction. I made these fleece blankets this afternoon...what puggy doesn't need a skully blanket :)
























I hope to have some time to make some totes and maybe a pirate pug or 2 before next weekend as well....Mugsy and Pixie were both adopted through NIPRA so we gotta' show our appreciation!

Here is another project made with the September My Favorite Memories kit, if I had homework to do, I would want it to be in a fun notebook :)
